WELCOME TO ARMSTRONG IMPLEMENTS
The history of Armstrong Implements
Dating back to 1929 the Armstrong family established a
a Minneapolis Moline dealership which later became a White Farm Equipment dealership. Located in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Canada, the name Armstrong Implements is known for it’s honesty, integrity and service.
In 1977, Ed Talaga bought the dealership from Ed & Les Armstrong.
As the name Armstrong Implements was so widely recognized, there was no thought about changing the name of the business.
Ed Talaga has a strong background in the farm equipment business. In 1951 he started working for Cockshutt Farm Equipment. During his 26 years with Cockshutt and White Farm Equipment he held positions as territory manager in the Peace River country and sales and branch manager in Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
In 1979 Bob Talaga joined the family business after graduating from the Kelsey Institute.
Ed and Bob expanded their product lines over the years to include Massey Ferguson, Kubota Tractor, Spray Coupe, Gleaner, Willmar, Agco Allis, New Idea, Steiger, Krause, New Noble and more.
In 1993 Bob Talaga purchased the business from Ed and the company continued to grow, with added staff and additions to the parts and service facilities as well as other lines.
In 2005 a decision was made to sell the facilities on Railway Street along with some of the product lines to Full Line Ag Sales from Saskatoon, Sask.
Property on the Trans Canada Highway was purchased and work began immediately on our new 12,000 sq. ft. facility. The Grand opening of our new facility took place in May 2006.We were pleased to retain many of our long term and dedicated staff and the move allowed us to focus on equipment lines we brought with us and new lines we added.
In 2006, Bob’s son Brandon joined the business. Sales and management are his main focus.Armstrong Implements has always been a family run business. Today we are proud to have five family members working at Armstrong’s, including Bob and his wife Laurie, their son Brandon, Bob’s father Ed, and brother Mike.
We are proud to sell and service the following equipment lines, Kubota tractors and accessories, Outback GPS systems, Yamaha golf carts, Stihl power products, Trager wood pellet grills, Snapper yard care products, Buhler/Farm King loaders and 3 point equipment, Wallenstein 3 point equipment, Krause discs and Westward parts and equipment.
With our large showroom, service and parts areas and quality equipment lines, we look forward to many years of continued growth, never forgetting that service and customer satisfaction is always number one.
